GeoDin: the best alternative for gINT

For decades, Bentley gINT was the geotechnical industry standard, used worldwide to produce borehole logs and manage subsurface data. Its discontinuation left firms scrambling for a replacement. As former gINT users, we built our answer: GeoDin, a comprehensive data management solution designed for a seamless transition and a more powerful future.

About GeoDin as alternative to gINT

GeoDin is a trusted and robust player in the market, with over 30 years of experience. It is a well-established geotechnical data management platform that converts and imports gINT databases, making the transition straightforward.

GeoDin can be considered an underdog, but don’t be fooled: our client base is pretty impressive with customers like Arcadis, Siemens, CDM Smith and Tennet, to name a few out of the hundreds of clients we have. Word of mouth has gotten us where we are now, and we want to share the word a bit broader to help gINT users with their migration problems.

GeoDin is growing rapidly and expanding to new markets. Don’t miss out on this great software, and consider GeoDin now that the gINT migration opportunity is present.

Why choose GeoDin as alternative to gINT?

GeoDin is purpose-built for geotechnical professionals, offering the key functionalities you relied on in gINT, but with enhanced performance and flexibility:

  1. Borehole and test pit logging
Create detailed, customizable logs for all types of subsurface explorations.

Directly manage and integrate results from common lab tests, including particle size distribution, Atterberg limits, and consolidation tests.
  3. In-situ test integration
Seamlessly import and visualize data from CPT, SPT, and other field tests.
  4. Advanced isualization
‍enerate professional fence diagrams, cross-sections, and site maps to interpret subsurface conditions.

Your data remains yours, stored securely on your own infrastructure or private cloud.
  6. Industry standard compliance
Full support for data exchange formats like AGS and industry reporting standards.

Easy migration from gINT to GeoDin

GeoDin makes transitioning from gINT straightforward. Our migration services ensure a high-fidelity transfer of your critical gINT data, including project structures, borehole locations, lithology layers, sample data, lab test results (e.g., Atterberg, PSD, moisture content), and field measurements (e.g., SPT, CPT).

The process consists of two key steps:

1. Convert your gINT database

Convert your Accessdatabase to GeoDinML, which can be imported in GeoDin. The data fields are all checkedand matched, any anomalies will be highlighted to the user.

Supported formats: .mdb, .gpj, .accdb

Standards: Full import/export support for AGS 4.x, ASTM D2487, BS 5930, and other regional standards.

2. Import the GeoDinML file into GeoDin

In step 1, if any required elements such as database tables or parameters are missing, GeoDin will provide feedback highlighting the missing mandatory elements.
