In a remote area of western Norway, a GeODin based early warning system was developed by Fugro, to avert the dangers posed by unstable rock slides and resulting tsunamis.

Water resources management information systems (WRMIS) based on GeODin have been installed by governments in many African, European and Middle-Eastern countries.
Geothermal interpretation
Software development for the LBGR geothermal portal, for the county of Brandenburg. A geological database, with ca. 200.000 boreholes, is analysed and interpreted using geothermal criteria and presented on the web using GeODin Portal.

Groundwater database, Zambia
The Zambian Water Resources Management Authority uses a GeODin information system to co-ordinate development and management of water resources in a sustainable manner. This combines water quantity and quality data with abstraction, allocation & usage.
Urban information system, Berlin
For the last 20 years the Berlin Local Authority has used geoconsulting services provided by Fugro for regional management of their water resources. From 200,000 boreholes a network of 8000 wells are monitored to provide information on groundwater levels and quality.
Land reclamation, USA
Fugro installed an automatic GeODin geomonitoring system at Craney Island for the largest port expansion project in the United States.
Dam monitoring, Germany
The Ruhrverband operates the largest multi-reservoir system in Germany, where Fugro installed a GeODin database for water level monitoring.
Tunnel monitoring, Australia
Fugro carried out remote monitoring of twin concrete live rail tunnels. GeODin is part of the fully automated system for data capture, processing, backup, reporting and alarms.
Borehole planning, Botswana
Three quarters of Botswana's human & animal populations depend on groundwater. Fugro used GeODin to create a centralised national borehole archive, as a pre-requisite for planned groundwater reconnaissance projects.
IWRMS, Zanzibar, Tanzania
Two islands in the Zanzibar Archipelago needed an effective way to manage their water resources. Fugro provided a customized Integrated Water Resources Management System (IWRMS) based on GeODin software and trained local staff to use it.

Water supply and sanitation in Yemen is characterised by severe water scarcity and a high level of poverty. Fugro was able to help by using GeODin for the creation and management of the national geological database.
