Remote Help with Deskshare

In special cases a Deskshare session can be arranged with one of our support staff. The necessary client software can be downloaded here.

What is Deskshare?
Deskshare® enables desktop sharing and remote support without installation. You can show your screen or view the desktop of the GeODin support staff, live via internet, without changing the PC.

How does it work?
During a telephone support call to the GeODin hotline, you first start the DeskShare software that you have downloaded. There is no installation necessary (i.e. no changes are made to the PC settings). The program is available worldwide in matter of seconds and is simple to us.

Once a connection has been established, your GeODin support staff will see your desktop and can try to help you with whatever GeODin issue you are having. It is also possible to reverse the working direction so that you can see the desktop of our support staff. In certain situations it may also be helpful for one partner in the Deskshare session to have remote control of the other's PC - this is only possible with your prior consent.

With Deskshare you can collaborate by editing documents together (e.g. a GeODin template), adjust query conditions, check object type syntax and even exchange files between computers via the integrated file transfer.
