GeODin 7 is a modular data management solution enabling you to choose the optimal software solution for your for geological, environmental, geotechnical, monitoring and laboratory projects requirements.
The basic GeODin 7 licence enables you to collect all kinds of data and print reports from it. Further GeODin modules are required for all other analysis, printing and presentation functions. Each module offers specific functionality for a broad spectrum of tasks and may be combined to best fit your data management needs - please consult our guide for module interdependency.
The GeODin modules Logs, Site, Maps and Labs provide a series of integrated components, including an embedded GIS, powerful CAD tools, multilingual data collection, dynamic cross-section & site plans, reporting and statistical analysis.
The Client/Server module enables users to store data in professional grade and open source databases (MS SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL and MySQL) in addition to the standard MS Access format. The GeODin Image Server and GeODin Portal Server modules provide flexible solutions to share geo-information using a web browser in company intranets or over the internet.
In addition there is a free data collection tool GeODin Shuttle as well as GeODin GIS Extensions for ESRI products (ArcView 3 and ArcGIS 9 & 10).
The system requirements for GeODin are a PC with Windows XP (SP3), Windows Vista or Windows 7 (32- and 64-bit) and 1GB RAM. GeODin data is stored in standard industry formats: by default an .mdb database, without you needing an MS Access licence, or in client/server databases with the GeODin module and appropriate drivers installed.
